DAVID MAST / SPORTS CAMP CONSULTANT

Top Local Summer Camp Director

Sports, has been a key component of David’s life since the very beginning. Growing up in Maryland and living in Baltimore City, on 33rd Street, only a short walk over to Baltimore’s famed Memorial Stadium, he grew up watching the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Colts practice and play.

Being the son of an immigrant, David learned very early that hard work and dedication goes a long way towards achieving your goals. His love and commitment to tennis, came when he made the team and played for Calvert Hall in high school, and then for UMBC during college, where he earned his BA in Psychology. After college, David competed locally, nationally, and played satellite tournaments in the US and Mexico.

While playing, earning titles (7 Maryland State Titles, 2 Mid Atlantic Titles, and 2 time USPTA player of the Year in the Mid Atlantic), and becoming a top player, David developed a personal mission to teach tennis. He achieved that goal, and in 1995 accomplished not only being an instructor, but owning his own tennis camp. Currently he owns and operates 5 tennis camps in various locations in the Baltimore area.

David and his wife Robin, have been happily married for over 20 years. They are parents to Tyler and Isabella who both play competitive tennis, and help to run his local camps.

“Finding a great summer camp is something of a leap of faith; you never know what you are going to get, and if your kids are going to like it. So when you show up at the first day of summer camp, and the director is there to engage you and your kids, it makes a really great first impression. That is what we got at the Mast Tennis Camp, and the good times kept rolling through the week.”
